Attorney Michael T. Rees

Attorney Michael T. Rees lives and grew up in Hobart, Indiana. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1993. Michael attended Rose Hohman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana and Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana before becoming a police officer for the City of Hobart in 1998. Michael also served in the United States Army Reserve as a military police officer and was honorably discharged in 2005. Michael returned to college in 2001 and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in criminal justice from Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana in 2002. He then attended Valparaiso University School of Law where he earned and retained a full scholarship. Michael began working at Rhame & Elwood in 2004 as a law clerk while attending Valparaiso University School of Law. Michael also worked during the Summer of 2004 as a clerk for the Honorable William E. Alexa in Valparaiso, Indiana. Michael was a teaching assistant for the legal writing program at Valparaiso University School of Law for the academic year 2004-2005. Michael graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law with a Jurist Doctor Degree in the Spring of 2006 and began working for Rhame & Elwood as a full-time associate at that time.

Currently, Michael is the president of the City of Hobart Redevelopment Commission, the secretary for the School City of Hobart Educational Foundation, the attorney for Northshore Health Centers in Portage, Indiana and the attorney for the City of Hobart, Indiana.
