John M. Rhame, III

John Rhame was raised on small rural farm in Clinton, Iowa. He attended and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1969 with a B.A. in Business Administration and in 1971 graduated with a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations. John, while employed as a full time police officer in Portage, Indiana, attended and graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in l974.

Attorney Rhame has served as a deputy Porter County Prosecutor and deputy Porter County Public Defender. He has held the position of city attorney. He has served on the following local boards: soccer club; Portage Township YMCA board member and officer; Porter County Republican Secretary; Portage Chamber of Commerce; PEDCO of Portage; Elder at St. Peter church in Portage; a twelve year member of the Porter Memorial Hospital Board of Directors with five (5) years of service as President of the Board.

Attorney Rhame concentrates his practice after thirty three (33) years in the areas of family law and personal and commercial real estate transactions. In family law arena he has handled over 3,000 cases including divorce and related matters including juvenile law. In the real estate area he does residential sales transactions; commercial sales and business sale agreements. The practice includes litigation of the family law matters and real property issues including appeals.
